A 17-year-old girl was sexually assaulted Thursday morning after she accepted a ride from two men in a new SUV, Salt Lake City police said.

The girl told police she was picked up around 5 a.m. in the area of 900 West and 600 North after leaving a friend's house where she had been drinking. She asked the driver for a cigarette, and when he said he had some at home, she got in the car, police reports said.

After picking up the girl, the driver let the other male occupant out of the vehicle and eventually parked around 700 N. Morton Drive (1800 West) and began asking the victim for sex, police said. When she refused, he forcibly removed her clothes and sexually assaulted her, according to police reports.

Police say they are looking for a slim, 5-foot-10-inch Hispanic man, between 25 and 35, with hair shaved on the sides and longer on top, and possibly driving a new, white Pathfinder or 4-Runner.
