OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — Here's one for the record books.

More than 23,000 people at Rosenblatt Stadium gyrated, sang along and spelled out the title of the Village People's hit song "YMCA" for more than five minutes on Wednesday, apparently setting a new record.

However, video proof will have to be sent to "Guinness World Records" before the official title is bestowed.

The world record of 6,907 dancers was set Nov. 1, 1997, at Southwest Missouri State University.

The Golden Spikes Triple-A baseball club was the host of the disco dance.
