Harry Gosta Roner died June 25, 2001 at home of causes incident of age.
He was born on Dec. 27, 1915, at his home in Stockholm, Sweden. He was the son of Per Adolf Roner and Ellen Maria Pettersson. He married May Iris Johansson on July 14, 1947 in Stockholm, Swe-den. He had emi-grated with his family to the United States in 1956. The marriage was later solemnized on December 11, 1956, in the Salt Lake Temple.
He was a High Priest in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in varied positions in Sweden at the Branch and District level. In the United States, he served for many years in the Sunday School presidency of the Bryan 2nd Ward. He also served in the presidency of the Stake Seventies Quorum. He also served on the Ward Troop Committee.
He is survived by a daughter, Anita, Sweden; son, Leif, Sweden; sons, Kent (Janice), Ken (Renee), Greger (Bry Ann), and a brother Arne. He has 13 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, May, brothers Birger and Tage, and a grandson, Andrew.
Funeral services to be held Monday, July 9, 2001, 12 noon at the Bryan Ward, 17th South 1100 East, Salt Lake City. Friends and family may call one hour prior at the ward. Interment, Wasatch Lawn.
