Bountiful - Robert Paul Staley, 45, was received into his Heavenly Father's arms Friday July 6, 2001.
He passed away peacefully in a Salt Lake hospital, with his children by his side, of complications from an accident in Feb 1993 that left him a quadriplegic.
Robert was born Sept 11, 1955 in Frederick, MD and adopted by Charles Staley and Bonnie Neel Allen. He attended schools in Lehi, UT. He married Marion Thomas Feb 1972. They were later divorced. He worked for Gold Cross Ambulance and as a police officer for Draper, South Jordan, and South Salt Lake Police departments. After his accident he found great peace through his involvement with the South Davis Branch of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was an example of strength for his family and friends.
He is survived by his devoted daughter, Kristen, Salt Lake City; son, Justin (Christy); grandchildren, Ashlynn and Tyler, all of Taylorsville; and adopted families: the Mills, Cutlers, Jenkins, Jolleys, Fellowses, and Mike Allen family. Preceded in death by his parents.
We would like to thank the loving friends who included him into their lives and hearts. You have made his life here on Earth worthy of living.
Services will be Tues July 10, 2001, 11 a.m. at the Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 N. Main Bountiful, where friends may call Tues. 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Lehi City Cemetery.
Dad, we know you are running with the Angels!
