Allen David Johnson, age 76, passed away August 22, 2001 at home while surrounded by his family.

He was born October 5, 1924 in Idaho Springs, Colorado to Oscar Fred and Edith Wright Johnson.

Married Glenda Abel in Ely,

Nevada and their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Temple. She died June 17, 1977.

Married Gertrude Lloyd, April 28, 1978 in Kenilworth, Utah. Allen was an active member of the Spring Glen LDS Ward. He was a longtime resident of Carbon County and an active leader in The Kenilworth Community Affairs. Served U.S. Army during World War II in the 754th Field Artillery Battalion. Dad was Santa's Helper for 30 years and was also an active supporter for "Sub for Santa."

Survived by: wife Gertrude Johnson Kenilworth; five sons and one daughter and spouses: Mike and Valerie Johnson, Price; Evan and Nance Johnson, Castle Dale; Kevin Johnson, Long Beach, CA; David and Diana Johnson, Price; Peggy and Ross Christensen, Salem; George and Diane

Richards, West Jordan; three sisters and one brother: Rose and Bud Jaramillo, Carbonville; Marge Marshall, Salt Lake City; Mabel Donohue, Spring Glen; William Robinson, Salt Lake City. Also survived by his 17 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a community of friends.

Preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Becky D'Rose and two brothers and two sisters.

Funeral Home Friday evening 7-9 p.m. and at the stake center in Helper

Saturday one hour prior to services.

Interment Price City Cemetery.
