Our loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother, Mildred 'Joyce' Reed Hoerold, 71, passed away peacefully in her home on August 23, 2001 at 6:25 a.m.
Joyce was born August 21, 1930 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Walter Stafford Reed and Gladys Squires Reed. She grew up in the Salt Lake Valley and graduated from South High School. She married Fritz Eric Hoerold on June 18, 1949 and they spent over 52 wonderful years together. She was an excellent bowler; she collected Santas' and teddy bears; she enjoyed doing crafts, trips to Wendover and especially spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband Fritz; daughters Sue (Steve) White, Fallon, NV; and Bonnie (Bryan) Vincent, West Jordan. Also survived by grandsons Eric, Jared and Jon White, Samuel, Benjamin and Jesse Vincent; granddaughters Rachael and Megan Vincent; great-granddaughter Madeline White. Also survived by her brother Walter (Iras) Reed, Tooele; two nephews and one niece.
Funeral services will be held Monday, August 27, 2001 at 11 a.m. Redwood Memorial Estates, 6500 S. Redwood Rd. Where friends and family may call Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to the services. Interment will also be at Redwood Memorial Cemetery.
The family would like to thank Dr. Joseph Schoenhals and his staff for all they did for Mom and also the hospice staff for their kindness and care.
