CARSON CITY, Nev. — South Lake Tahoe, Calif., was the service center for 250 members of the Carson City Nevada Stake on Saturday, Aug. 4. About 175 of the members set about recreating creek beds, installing sprinkler systems, pulling weeds and planting trees and strawberries at the Demonstration Garden at Lake Tahoe Community College.
Meanwhile, about 75 women worked on marking, tying and packing 156 quilts to be donated for neglected and abused children.
At the end of the project, the stake members enjoyed a barbecue lunch in a park.
