You think you had it bad as a kid. Marilu Henner's sons have to eat lima bean soup — but she swears they like it.
Her two boys, ages 5 and 7, are featured on the cover of her new book "Healthy Kids," a parent's guide through the various stages of children's lives.
The book also includes more than 100 recipes, including ways to prepare Brussels sprouts and Lucky Lima Bean Soup.
"It's good," the former "Taxi" star insists, noting her own kids eat fruits, vegetables, whole grains, fish and free-range chicken. The key is to help kids kick junk foods, sugar and anything with polysyllabic ingredients, the 49-year-old Henner said.
"If you retrain their palates, they aren't going to want junk foods. Fake food doesn't taste good once you've gotten off of it."
