The Wasatch Front Regional Council will be holding a series of public open houses to receive input on its long-range transportation plan.
The plan includes freeway, highway, arterial street, road and transit improvements to be completed in three phases. The plan runs through 2030.
The council sought public input earlier this year while drafting the long-range plan. Public meetings at that time helped determine what projects would make the final cut. The projects included in the draft are not guaranteed to become a reality by 2030, but they are proposals.
The open houses will begin Thursday, Sept. 6, in Salt Lake County at West Jordan City Hall in the First Floor Emergency Operations Room. A Weber County open house will be held Sept. 11 at the Weber County Courthouse in the Commission Chambers. Another Salt Lake County open house will be held at the City and County Building in Room 126 on Sept. 18. The final open house will be held Sept. 19 in Davis County, but the location has not been determined. All open houses will be held from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m.
