Man on crutches killed crossing Ogden street

OGDEN — A man on crutches was hit and killed while crossing Washington Boulevard Thursday night.

The man, 46, was crossing in the 1800 block of Washington Boulevard when he was struck by a car at 10:43 p.m., said Ogden Police Lt. Dave Tarran. The victim was taken to McKay-Dee Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The victim was apparently intoxicated, Tarran said. His name had not been released Friday morning pending notification of family members.

There was no crosswalk where the man was hit. No charges have been filed against the driver, a 32-year-old woman, but the investigation is continuing, Tarran said.
