Carlson Jackstien

"Success in life is measured by how much we give." By all measures, Vera Jackstien showed everyone she touched how it's done. She now has gone on to meet her husband, something which had been her strong desire during her last several years of illness and suffering.
Throughout her mortal life Vera was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. All who knew her shout praises of her total selflessness. She was the epitome of love and sacrifice for others. Her great passion was always her family and friends, helping them in all circumstances, even when her own resources were meager. She molded two devoted children, Larry Jackstien and JoAnn Jackstien Black and sacrificed much so their talents of music and dance could be developed to the highest levels. She was an angel on earth who reached out and touched the lives of many-- family, friends, neighbors, ward members and others. Vera will be greatly missed. God bless he in her new journey of celestial life.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 28, 2001 at 12 noon at Holladay Cottonwood Mortuary, 4670 Highland Drive. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the mortuary. Interment, Wasatch Lawn.
