Carroll Rowley Swallow, our loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend peacefully passed away August 25th, 2001 after many health struggles throughout her life.

She was born December 1, 1917 at her modest family home in Fillmore, Utah, Millard County, by candle light on a cold winter morning. She was born breach birth which has been the cause of a lot of her suffering, leaving her legs uneven; but it didn't keep her from dancing, skating, swimming, and other activities. She being the youngest of nine children was born to George and Emily Chesley Rowley and lived in Fillmore until she graduated from Millard High School where she participated in many activities. She then met and married Robert O. Swallow October 21, 1935 in Provo, Utah, he died March 12 1977, their marriage was later solemnized in the LDS Temple July 30, 1991. Mom was active as a secretary for the Federal Government Selective Service for 20 years. She was an active member of the LDS Church and was a leader in the Young Womens' Group. She also belonged to the Special Interest Group, which she enjoyed immensely. She has many friends and neighbors who were also there ready and willing to help her out when her health wasn't the best and needed to be rushed to the hospital.

Mom had six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; who she dearly loved. She is survived by two children, daughter, Mrs Arlen (Sherrill) Craghead, Salt Lake City; son, Robert William and wife, Brenda of West Jordan; also survived by sister, Fawn Poulson; preceded in death by granddaughter, Jolynn; sisters, Rayma Cline, Teen Murphy, and Jack (Dilell) Brunson; two brothers, Bill Rowley and Jim Rowley.

A special thanks to her granddaughters for their help, love and devotion above and beyond the call of duty, also a special thanks to Alta Ridge and Garden Terrace Care Centers, to all those who loved and helped her to feel better. We will miss you Mom, but we know that you are happy now and free from pain.

"Love ya - your family".
