BOUNTIFUL-<! > William McBlaine Thom-son, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother died peacefully August 24, 2001, at the age of 73.

He was born May 20, 1928 in Richmond, Utah to William Surgenor and Hannah Ma-ria Coley Thom-son. He was married to his sweetheart, Lillian Moss, August 3, 1949, in the Logan Temple. Together they enjoyed raising their three children. Blaine loved family outings and made this a tradition with his family. He was kind, generous, and always positive. He loved to work outdoors. His green thumb could make anything grow. As a member of the LDS Church he served in many positions, but his greatest joy was the privilege of serving as a sealer in the Salt Lake, Chicago, and Bountiful temples.

Blaine is survived by his loving wife, Lillian; daughter Susan Reitz (Stephen), and sons Ron (Lynda), Doug (Lori), eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; sisters, Beverly Lewis and Martina McKee. Preceded in death by his parents and brother Herbert Thomson.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday August 28, 2001 at the Bountiful Utah Val Verda Stake Center 2651 South, 500 West. Friends may call Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main St. and from 11:45-12:45 prior to services at the Stake Center. Interment, Bountiful City Cemetery.
