Elizabeth Badger Norman, 92, was born Sept. 22, 1908 in Salt Lake City, UT, the 5th of 12 children born to Carlos Ashby and Rose Jenkins Badger. Beth passed away Aug. 23, 2001 in Boise, ID.

Beth was educated in Salt Lake City, Utah and graduated from LDS Business College. She served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in California. On May 8, 1937, Beth married Edgar Carl Norman in Washington D.C. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake City, Utah LDS Temple. With the untimely death of her sweetheart in 1961, Beth devoted the remainder of her life to raising her five children.

Beth's life was spent in service. She served in numerous callings in her church and was a faithful volunteer for 12 years at the LDS Genealogical Library. She lived to serve her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

In her later years, she struggled with Alzheimer's, with dignity and courage. A woman of great strength, she faced her trials with the faith that the Lord would lead her through. She put others before herself and loved unconditionally. Grandma, to all of us who love you, that is how we will remember you.

Beth is survived by her five children and their spouses, Gar and Molly Norman of Richland, WA; Tad and Tove Norman of Alpine, UT; Van and Maude Norman of Bountiful, UT; Alice and Robert Erickson of Boise, ID; and John and Christine Norman of Salt Lake City, UT. Along with her children, Beth is loved, admired, and remembered by her 30 grandchildren and 45 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four brothers, one sister, and a great-grandson.
