An employee of an Albertson's store was stabbed Sunday by two men asking for money outside the store.

The employee, 18, was walking into the store, 2300 E. 2040 South, when the men approached and asked if he had $5, said Salt Lake police detective Isi Tausinga.

The employee said no. That's when one man punched the victim and the other stabbed him in the torso and arm, Tausinga said.
