Frank Alan Woodbury born August 11, 1923 in Salt Lake City, Utah to George Lambert Woodbury and Susannah Louisa Capson, died August 22, 2001 at his home in Dallas.
He served three years in the U. S. Army during World War II and afterward completed a two year mission in the Southern States for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He graduated from the University of Utah in the School of Engineering and was thereafter employed by the Westinghouse Electric Company for whom he worked until his retirement in 1986. He subsequently served two additional missions for his church, one in London, England, and another in Woodbury, CT, and most recently has been working as a sealer in the Dallas, Texas Temple.
He is survived by his wife, Fern Stoddard Woodbury and seven children, five sons and two daughters: Cosette Andrews, Matthew, Paul, Michael, David, Mark, and Barbara Putnam, 33 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters: Olive (Kieth) Thompson, and Elaine (Dale) Ensign. He is preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
Funeral services will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 14740 Meandering Way, Dallas at 2 p.m. Saturday August 25. The family will receive friends on Friday evening, August 24, at Restland Funeral Home 7-9 and on Saturday 1-2 at the church preceding the funeral service.
