MIDWAY, UT - On a beautiful Summer Saturday morning, August 25, 2001, Judy, age 56, was ushered back into the presence of her Heavenly Father. She was enjoying an early morning bicycle ride with her daughter, Jennifer. Surrounded by the morning sights and sounds of nature, she passed, doing what she loved the most. The day before she was totally immersed in the love of her family.
Those who were dearest to her were Gary, Scott, and Jennifer Peirce, Jennifer and Kerry Watts, Andrew and Kim Peirce, Melinda Remund, and all of her grandchildren who love her and will always remember her as "Gramma." She is also survived by her parents, Carl and Lucille Peterson, Springville; three brothers; and two sisters.
Judy will be remembered by all as a kind, caring, patient and devoted person. She loved the beauties of nature; being out in her garden tending to her precious flowers was a daily ritual. If there was anything that God created, Judy wanted to be part of it.
Judy was a member of the LDS Church and nurtured a steadfast testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ. She served faithfully in many ward and stake callings, particularly in the Relief Society organizations. These callings were treated as second only to her family.
