In response to Judd Johnson's plaintive, "Why does everybody from Brigham City to Nephi think Rocky is their mayor?" (Deseret News' Readers' Forum, Aug. 23), I have to say I was taken by surprise.

I don't know what it was that gave me this impression, maybe Rocky's concern over the state's antiquated liquor laws and his tireless efforts to encourage our Legislature to change them or perhaps his desire to enliven the state's rustic and stodgy public image. Whatever it was, I found myself assuming that Rocky Anderson was Utah's governor.

My mistake.
