A Salt Lake County employee was arrested Monday for allegedly faking a bomb threat at county offices, causing an evacuation of both buildings at the County Complex that lasted two hours.

Teresa Pixton, 27, was booked into Salt Lake County Jail for investigation of causing a catastrophe and giving false alarm, Salt Lake County sheriff's spokeswoman Peggy Faulkner said.

Pixton said she received a bomb threat call at 12:04 p.m. in her office, Faulkner said. The buildings were evacuated until about 2 p.m., and a bomb dog investigated the threat.

An investigation of computer records for phone calls showed nobody called Pixton the time she said she was called, Faulkner said.

This is the second bomb threat call to the County Complex in one week, Faulkner said.
