I read with interest about the Utah Highway Patrol cracking down on I-15 speeders and other law violators. This has been an extremely dangerous situation for years, and now because of a flood of complaints, the governor and highway patrol are doing something. Shame on them for waiting so long.
I rarely have seen a patrol car on the freeways. Had they paid attention, we wouldn't have to complain. Where have they been all this time? And so now we get triple the number of patrol cars, plus helicopters — for a week! What happens after that — business as usual?
I've traveled on freeways all over the United States and find I-15 and I-215 among the most dangerous and poorly patrolled.
