RICHARDFIELD, Utah- Marguerite Winget Ogden, 99, of Richfield, Utah, died peacefully on Sept. 11, 2001.
She was born August 12, 1902, in Monroe, Utah, a daughter of Cyrus Alfonzo and Hulda Augusta Jonassen Winget. She attended BYU and taught school in Annabella and Monroe. She married Owen Miles Ogden, June 3, 1925, in the Manti Temple, enjoying seventy years of happy marriage.
Marguerite looked for the good and uplifting and never spoke an unkind word. She loved a peaceful home, good music, and the beauties of nature. She worked hard, gave service willingly, loved gardening, reading, and her family.
She served in the LDS auxiliaries, singing mothers, and was a temple ordinance worker. She was an excellent genealogist, a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. Her beautiful alto voice was heard at many funerals.
Marguerite is survived by her children, Betty (Wayne) Lewis, Provo; Reva (Carroll) Riddle, Riverton; Bruce Ogden , Richfield; Clyde (Claudette) Ogden, Tacoma, WA: Miles (Carla) Ogden, Orem; 20 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brother, Heber (Jennie) Winget, Monroe; sister-in-law, Ermon Winget, Salt Lake City.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 15, 2001, at 11 a.m. in the Richfield 4th LDS Ward Chapel, 159 N. 400 W. Friends may call at the Magleby Mortuary on Friday from 6-8 p.m. and at the ward chapel on Saturday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Richfield City Cemetery. Funeral directors, Neal S. Magleby & Sons Mortuary.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to Primary Children's Medical Center.
