Our sweet, kind, and loving mother, grandmother, and a beautiful lady, Lorna Hollingshead Lightfoot Banks, passed into the arms of her Heavenly Father on Tues., Sept. 11, 2001. She passed away at the home of her daughter in Payson, sur-rounded by her loving family.
She was born February 8, 1912 in Victor, Idaho, a daughter of Joseph Easton and Annie Lovina Allen Hollingshead.
She married Carlton A. Lightfoot, March 25, 1929. He preceded her in death April 11, 1970. They were sealed September 17, 1971 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She later married Randall Burton Banks in 1976 in the Provo LDS Temple. He preceded her in death in March 1991.
Lorna was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many capacities. She was loved and will be missed by her many friends, neighbors, and family.
Survivors include: two daughters and a son, Lorna Jean (Monte) Taylor, Payson; Ivy Ann Kerr, Salt Lake City; Carlton Allen (Ceceile) Lightfoot, Taylorsville; 19 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, eight step-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren, and a sister, Ruby (James) Bates, Santa Clara, UT. She was preceded in death by a son, Michael Kent Lightfoot; two grandsons, Monte Richard Taylor and Quinn Michael Kerr; three sisters and four brothers, Cicily Hollingshead, Charles Allen Hollingshead, Claude Allen Hollingshead, Nelson Stoyll Hollings-head, Maude H. Burton, Joseph Carlisle Hollingshead, and Ferley Afton White.
Funeral services will be Saturday, Sept. 15, 2001, 1 p.m., in the Payson Page LDS Ward Chapel, 711 S. 600 East. Friends may call at the Walker Mortuary, 587 So. 100 W., Payson, Fri., 6-8 p.m., or at the church Sat., 11:45 a.m.- 12:45 p.m. Burial will be in the Payson City Cemetery.
