Judd Houser's 1913 Model T Ford is one of many old cars that will be in the spotlight at the 30th annual Concours d'Elegance car show Saturday, Sept. 15, at the University of Utah in the parking lot between the Marriott Library and the Huntsman Center.
The show is open to the public from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.; admission is $5 for adults and $2 for children under 12. Proceeds will benefit the Salt Lake County 10th East and Friendly Neighborhood senior citizens centers.
Cars and owners will compete in a number of classes, and owners will be on hand to discuss and show off their cars.
"We will judge and display some of the finest automobiles in this part of the United States," says Chuck Robbins, supervisor at the Friendly Neighborhood Center who is helping to coordinate the show.
It's the 100th anniversary of the Pierce Arrow, says Robbins, so that car will be highlighted. Ford Thunderbirds will also be in the spotlight.
