The destruction of chemical weapons in Tooele County is back on track, following a shutdown because of the terrorist attacks in the East.

Government and contract employees working for Deseret Chemical Depot near Stockton, Tooele County, and the Chemical Agent Disposal Munition System located at the depot, were to return to their normal schedules on Friday, says a press release faxed to the Deseret News by officials of the depot, located near Stockton, Tooele County.

CAMDS has been researching methods to destroy chemical weapons other than burning the toxic agent.

Meanwhile, at the Army's $1 billion incinerator, also based at the depot, employees and contractors were to have returned to normal duty starting with Thursday's 6 p.m. shift.
