ALBANY, N.Y. — The federal government will reimburse New York City and state for the ever-increasing costs of the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center, including debris removal, emergency protection and repairs to public facilities, authorities said Wednesday.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency also announced that it would provide $100 million to the relief effort in New York City, in addition to the $25 million it approved on Monday.

The money will be available for temporary housing; medical, funeral and other disaster-related expenses; and low-interest loans from the federal Small Business Administration for business losses not covered by insurance.

Disaster unemployment assistance and counseling services are also available.
