WASHINGTON — Sen. Orrin Hatch, R-Utah, plans to visit the World Trade Center site in New York Thursday with a congressional delegation.
Chris Rosche, Hatch's press secretary, said final plans were still being made, but a large delegation of members from the Judiciary, Intelligence and other committees was planning to travel there.
Hatch serves on the committees, both of which partially oversee anti-terrorism efforts. "The Senate leadership is asking him to go," Rosche said.
He added that Hatch will also try to meet with a group of 62 Utah firefighters helping with search and rescue operations.
