The Department of Workforce Services will begin a pilot project to ensure the accuracy of food stamp, financial assistance, child care and medical assistance benefits.
The project will include Davis, Morgan, Weber, Box Elder, Cache and Rich counties. In part, it will be used to determine how to effectively use investigators to uncover overpayments and clarify the roles of overpayment specialists.
When the program is completed and evaluated, it will be deployed statewide.
Citizens who wish to make a referral may do so by calling the hot line number, 1-800-955-2210. For more information about the program, contact Harold Hess at 1-801-626-3444 or Ed Van Zweden at 1-801-626-3418.
