Shirley Katherine Kellogg Marshall, 74, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away at home September 22, 2001, of cancer.
She was born Dec. 12, 1926 to Francis H. and Emma Johanson Kellogg in Salt Lake City. She married Keith Marshall Nov. 9, 1946, in Farmington, UT. She retired from the Veterans Hospital, where she was a food service supervisor. After retirement, she worked as a volunteer for Traveler Aid and she helped feed the homeless under the viaduct. She was a very loving, caring and generous person.
She is survived by her husband, Keith; sons, Larry, Marysville, WA, Jerry, Modesto, CA; daughter, Carol, Salt Lake City; seven grandchildren, Stephanie, Mardi, Matthew, Branden, Cassandra, Cara; great-grandson, Sawyer; sister, Bernice Peguillan, Pacific, CA; and brother, Wallace, Salt Lake City. She was preceded in death by parents; and brothers, Austin, Francis and Dale.
Graveside services will be Thurs. Sept 27, 2001, 12 noon at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park. Friends may call at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 Highland Dr. Wed. 6-8 p.m. and Thurs. 10:45-11:45 a.m.
