Ryan Michael Simper, age 18, passed away September 22, 2001 at the U of U Hospital from injuries due to a car accident.

Ryan was born Dec 14, 1982 in Auburn, WA a son of Samuel and Barbara J. Kellicutt Simper. Ryan was working in the oilfields and was serving in the Army National Guard. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Ryan was preparing to go on a mission. He had earned his Eagle Scout and bronze and gold palms.

As a child Ryan was en-thused with large Machinery. He enjoyed snow boarding, 4 wheeling, motorized vehicles and paintball. Ryan was a very compassionate man, he dearly loved his six brothers, sisters and friends. Ryan was a great influence and help to his friends. He had a love for life.

He is survived by his parents; siblings, Nathan Raymond, Heather Nicole, Laura Ashley, Amy Elizabeth, Caleb Samuel, Daniel James Simper, all of Vernal; grandparents, James (Maureen) Simper, Vernal; Donna R. VanDorn, Olympia, WA; Hank E. Ovens, Olympia, WA; great-grand-mother, Norma Simper, Vernal; Estella Kellicutt, Longview, WA; May Graham, Aberdeen, WA; many cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.

Services will be Wed. Sept 26, 2001, 11 a.m. in the Vernal 5th LDS Ward chapel. Friends may call at Thomson-Blackburn Vernal Mortuary Tues. 6-8 p.m. and Wed. at the Chapel one hour prior to the services. Burial, Dry Fork Cemetery, with full military honors provided by the Utah Army National Guard. Directors, Thomson-Blackburn Vernal Mortuary.
