Born January 13, 1924 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Son of Alfons and Paula Finck. Attended Riverside, Jordan Jr. and West High. Joined the navy in 1942 to fight in World War II, discharged in 1945. Worked as a cartoonist for MGM Studios, Walt Disney, Warner Bros. and Hanna Barberra and earned a reputation as one of the best and fastest in the industry.

Joe and his wife Helen lived in Glendale, Calif. He retired in Huntington Beach, Calif. Active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Survived by his wife Helen, son, Gregory (Carolyn), daughter, Kristie Jo, brothers, Wilford (Elaine) Finck, and Gus (Donna) Finck; grandchildren, Liesl, Stephanie, Lauren and his grandson Ryan Finck who is currently serving in the Colorado, Denver North Mission.

Joe will be buried at sea by the U.S. Navy. A Memorial open house will be held in Huntington Beach, Calif. on October 13, 2001.
