- Arthur Malstrom, 87, of Missoula, MT, passed away on Monday, Sept. 24, 2001 at his daughter's home in Bend, OR.

He was born on Jan. 14, 1914, in Murray, Utah, to Edward and Clara (Bateman) Malstrom. He married Margarette Hicks in Salt Lake City on Oct. 17, 1935. Art moved to Kalispell in 1948, where he owned and operated Vogue Drycleaners. In the early 60's the family moved to Missoula where he owned and operated the Varsity Barbershop on S. Higgins until retirement.

Art enjoyed fishing, hunting, sports, being outdoors, and music. He enjoyed serving others in various LDS Church callings. His favorite hobbies were fly tying and outsmarting fish! He loved his family and friends.

Art was preceded in death by his wife, parents and two sisters. He is survived by two sons, Edward of Rexburg, ID and Nolan of Helena, MT; three daughters, Annette Bryant of Leesburg, VA, Karren Miller of Rexburg, ID and Sheri Brown of Bend, OR; 26 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren; one brother and six sisters.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, Sept. 29, from 9-9:45 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 3026 South Ave. W, Missoula, MT, where funeral services will follow at 10 a.m.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, Oct. 1, at 10 a.m. at the West Jordan City Cemetery, West Jordan, UT. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Bend-Lapine, 1303 NW Galveston, Bend, OR 97701.

Arrangements are under the care of Garden City Funeral Home, Missoula.
