BOCA RATON, Fla. (AP) — Two men pointed a shotgun and a pistol at an Islamic spiritual leader and threatened to kill him, police said.

The men in a white pickup decorated with U.S. flags followed Imam Ibrahim Dremali home Wednesday from the Islamic Center of Boca Raton, police said.

They approached him as he got out of his car, and one put a shotgun against his chest, leaving a mark, Dremali told police.

The men said, "If we see you in church tomorrow, you're dead meat," Dremali told police. They then drove away.

Dremali had been scheduled to speak at an interfaith service Thursday.

He had already canceled the appearance because Jewish organizers received complaints about an anti-Semitic article to which the mosque's Web site briefly was linked.
