Carrie Abigail Mooney Peppilis, born March 2, 1921 in Lyman, Utah to George Mack and Susan Jackson Mooney, was called home to her Heavenly Father Sept. 26, 2001, to be reunited for eternity with her beloved husband Louis J. Peppilis. They were married May 19, 1942 and later solemnized the marriage in the Salt Lake Temple.

She was an active member in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Kearns 10th Ward. She was a member of Daughters of Utah Pioneers, Camp Kearns, and a member of V.F.W. Auxiliary 409.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, only child David Lynn; one sister, Mary Moony Cawley; two brothers, William and James Mooney. She is survived by one brother, Charles F. (Della) Moony, Sr. of Highland Utah; four foster children; the children of her brother and Louis J. Peppilis' sister, William and Catherine Mooney, Edna (Merl) Russell, Riverton, Utah, Georgie Talbot, Sandy, Utah; William (Regina) Mooney, West Valley City, Utah; and Robert (Chris) Mooney, Bountiful, Utah. With pride and joy, she was grandmother to six children and "Grandma Great" to three children. Other nieces and nephews are; Joseph E. (Sharon) Cawley, Sr., Sausuin City, Ca.; Karen (Mickey) Dickson, East Carbon, Utah; Karla (Terry) Young, West Valley City, Utah; Susan (Roy) Wilkinson, American Fork, Utah;; Linda (Ken) Fullmer, Kearns, Utah; and Charles F. Mooney, Jr.; Highland, Utah; Ralph Helmes, Casper, Wyoming; Charlene Chatwell, Thermopolis, Wyoming and with great pride and joy, nine great-nieces and nephews, 23 great great-nieces and nephews, and Jessie Olsen, beloved friend.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday October 1, 2001 at the Kearns 10th Ward, 5025 West 4865 South. Friends may call Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Redwood Memorial Estates, 6500 So. Redwood Road and one hour prior to services at the ward on Monday. Interment Redwood Memorial Estates.
