Richard Norval Vincent passed away Friday August 31, 2001 in Sandy, UT after a long battle with Diabetes.
He was born May 20, 1928 in Murray, UT to Norval Joseph Vincent and Pearl Oneida Morten-sen. He lived all of his busy life in Midvale, UT. He graduated from Jordan High School in 1946 and earned his degree in Pharmacy from the University of Utah in 1950. While attending the university, he belonged to the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity.
He married Patricia Player in the Salt Lake LDS Temple Dec 3, 1952. Richard was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served a mission in the Northern States (Iowa, IL). He held several positions in the church and community including 12 years as a Midvale City Councilman. Richard carried on his father's work as a Pharmacist at Vincent Drug and later worked at Skaggs Drug as a Pharmacist and a Manager. He was well-respected in his community and profession and was well-liked by the people he served.
Richard is survived by his wife; son, Kim Richard Vincent; daughter, Lori (Dan) Delane; son, Todd Gary Vincent (Elizabeth); son, Darin Charles Vincent (Denece); three granddaughters, Brooke Vincent, Jamie Leigh Vincent, Brooke Tyhurst; five grandsons, Talbot Carlston, Max Delane, Michael Delane, Charles Vincent, Cody Tyhurst; and brother, Kent Vincent. He will be missed by all.
Special thanks to the caregivers at Crosslands Care Center for making Richard's stay there more bearable.
Services Wed. Sept 5, 11 a.m., Midvale 6th LDS Ward Chapel, 8171 S. Jackson St. (225 W). Friends may call at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State, Tues. 6-8 p.m. and at the church Wed. one hour prior to services. Interment, Midvale City Cemetery.
