DENVER (AP) — A British Airways airliner caught fire Wednesday as passengers were leaving it, critically injuring an airport worker.
The fire started on left wing of the Boeing 777, airline spokeswoman Diana Fung said. The plane carrying 256 passengers had just arrived from London.
All 16 crew members and a small number of passengers were in the plane when the fire started. They were immediately evacuated through the elevated walkway.
Workers for an airport contractor were fueling the plane.
The injured worker was in critical condition with second- and third-degree burns.
