WASHINGTON (Reuters) — Rep. Gary Condit's daughter Cadee defended him in a televised interview Wednesday, saying she was "OK with my dad" after she talked with him about his relationship with missing intern Chandra Levy.
"No, my dad had nothing to do with the disappearance of Chandra Levy," Cadee Condit said in an interview for CNN's "Larry King Live." "I don't blame him for anything. . . . I'm OK with my dad. We've discussed this."
Rep. Condit, a 53-year-old California Democrat, said in a nationally televised interview last month that he had a "close" relationship with the 24-year-old Levy but refused to say whether they had an affair.
The former government intern was last seen on April 30.
