Gwen Olive Pritchett Poulsen loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend passed away, Sept. 4, 2001 following a lingering illness in Nephi, Utah.
Gwen was born in Mt. Pleasant, Utah, July 29, 1927 to the late John Frank and Olive Pritchett. She married Lynn R Poulsen on Oct. 19, 1946 in Mt. Pleasant, UT. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Temple on Dec. 30, 1959. They are the proud parents of Kaye Despain of St. George, UT; Nanette (David) Kikumoto, Denver, CO; Wendy (Michael) Linares of Draper, UT; Becky Poulsen Longson of Denver, Co. They are blessed with 14 grandchildren and five great-granddaughters.
Gwen was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints served in many leadership
positions and as a Temple Ordinance Worker with her husband, in the Manti Temple for over 13 years. She was very active in community, county and state organizations. Gwen and Lynn owned and operated the Wendover Best Western Motel, in Wendover, UT for over 31 years.
Gwen is survived by husband, four daughters, sister, Mary Ann (Allen) Smith, Colorado Springs, Co; brother, Frank Lee Pritchett of Salt Lake City, UT; sister, Susan Pritchett of Los Angeles, CA.
Funeral services will be Sat. Sept. 8, 2001 at the Mt. Pleasant Stake Center (295 S. State) at 12 Noon. Friends and family may call on Fri. evening Sept. 7, at the Ursenbach Funeral Home (96 N. 100 W.) from 6-8 p.m. and on Sat. morning from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the Church prior to the services. Interment will be in the Mt. Pleasant City Cemetery under the direction of Ursenbach Funeral Home.
