GLENN SUSPENSION: An arbitrator who presided at a 13-hour hearing will decide by Tuesday whether to overturn the New England Patriots' season-long suspension of wide receiver Terry Glenn.

TITANS SIGN ROLLE: The Tennessee Titans agreed to terms with All-Pro cornerback Samari Rolle on a new six-year contract worth $37.5 million. He will receive a two-tiered signing bonus of $11.5 million in a deal that replaces the one-year, $1.48 million tender he signed last month, according to sources close to the negotiations.

'BAMA VIOLATIONS: For the second time in seven years, the University of Alabama's football program has been hit with NCAA charges of major rules violations, just as a new season unfolds.

Published reports in three newspapers said claims included the recruitment of a Tennessee player who was allegedly "sold" by his high school coaches, improper benefits from boosters and wrongdoing by former Alabama recruiting coordinator Ronnie Cottrell.
