Carl Frank Waldoch passed away Friday, December 28, 2001.
He was born Jan. 6, 1926 in Stevens Point, Wisconsin to John Valentine and Genevieve Manikowski Walczak.
He was a member of the LDS Church. Served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Carl played country music in many establishments in the Salt Lake area. He wrote poetry and added music. He wrote children's stories and illustrated them. He was an avid reader and explored the world through books and the internet. He would give a helping hand to anyone in need. Following his time in the Navy, he traveled around the country and finally settled in Salt Lake City. He married RuthAnn Dean, later divorced.
He is survived by RuthAnn and five step-children: David (Jean) Dean, Provo, UT; Anita Nelson, Scott (Eve) Dean, Claudia Dean and Donald (Cathy) Dean, Salt Lake City; 21 grandchildren; six great-grand children.
Carl has requested cremation. A memorial service will be held Thursday, January 3, 2001 at 11 a.m. at Russon Brothers Mortuary (255 South 200 East, SLC). Online guestbook at www.russonmortuary.com.
