SHARE Obituary: Elaine Moss Leming

Elaine Moss Leming went home to our Father-in-Heaven on December 30. 2001.

She was born Nov. 23, 1913 to Lorin and Olive Mae Briggs Moss. She was born and raised in Clear-field, Utah. She grew up on a 40 acre farm and worked the fields with her dad. She was a Temple View Stake Missionary and Young Women's Mutual teacher for many years. She loved quilting and embroidery work.

Her quilting was unequaled and as family we received much of this great talent.

She loved God and had always said how she was blessed though she never owned a home or car and raised her sons in a world that seemed hostile to a single divorced mom. She persisted in setting a good example and taking them to church for spiritual comfort.

She is preceded in death by her mother, father, sister, two brothers and one grandchild. She is survived by her son Jess (Aires) Leming, Taylorsville; two sisters Norma (Bob) Shafer, Idaho; and Blanche (Dick) Edmunds, Colorado; and Lorin (son). Her posterity is nine grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

Jess would like to thank his family and Rocky Mountain Staff for helping him with his mom during these last months. On the last visit, Elaine said how much she appreciated what Jess, his wife, and his daughters and sister has done for her.

Funeral services will be held Thursday Jan. 3, 2002 at 2 p.m. at Redwood Memorial Estates, 6500 S. Redwood Road. Friends may call one hour prior to the services at Redwood.
