Our loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, Thelma Boshard, age 82, passed away Jan. 10, 2002 from causes incident to age.
Born June 7, 1919 in Fuquay Springs, North Carolina, daugh-ter of Vivian and
Corena Baucom Smith. She married James Walter Taylor Jr. September 25, 1937; he preceded her in death October 12, 1944. She married Hayden Boshard June 20, 1959; he preceded her in death May 1, 1992.
Thelma grew up in North Carolina and moved to Provo, Utah in 1957. She was a Pink Lady at the Utah Valley Hospital for 22 years and volunteered at the Utah State Mental Hospital. She was a gifted oil painter who belonged to the Federation of Women's Council ~ Artist Section. She enjoyed doing genealogy and making porcelain dolls. Grandma will be missed as the matriarch of her family. She always had a smile on her face regardless of the hardships that she was enduring.
Thelma is survived by her daughters, Jeanette Taylor Cooper and Judith Annette Taylor Wooley; seven grand-children; 18 great-grandchildren; sisters, Naera Alrich, Blanche Keith, Nell Mills, and Polly Pope; brother, Daron Smith. Preceded in death by both husbands; one granddaughter; one great-granddaughter; three sisters; one brother.
Funeral services will be held Monday, 11 a.m. at the Granger West 5th Ward, 3300 S. 4440 W. Friends may call Sunday, 5-7 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 S. Redwood Road and Monday at the church, 10-10:45 a.m. Interment, Provo City Cemetery.
