MAGNA — Occupants of a car that was hit by a train Thursday walked away from the accident unharmed.

About 7:15 p.m., the driver of a car approaching railroad tracks near 7200 W. 4100 South didn't see any trains and proceeded through the crossing, which doesn't have signal lights, Salt Lake County Fire Capt. Jay Ziolkowski said.

A Kennecott train traveling at a slow speed clipped the car, pushing it away from the tracks, Ziolkowski said. Neither of the two men in the car, 16 and 35, was injured.
