One of the ways in which the Family and Church History Department disseminates information is through the publication of written works.
The Papers of Joseph Smith has been available in a couple of volumes for a number of years. Richard E. Turley Jr., managing director of the Family and Church History Department, said the department is now putting more emphasis into this ongoing project with the result that volumes will begin appearing much more frequently. There will be a total of nine or so, Brother Turley said, and projections are to have the rest of them out within the next four years.
"We've gathered together a team of people here and at BYU and in the Church Educational System to assist us," he said. He noted that the project makes the Prophet's papers available in book form with maps, notes and other helps.
