OGDEN — The Utah medical examiner has declared the death of a transient found near the Weber River on Dec. 27 a homicide.

The body of Gary McNabb, 41, was found in a transient camp in the woods near 3500 South and the Weber River. The medical examiner has ruled the death a homicide but investigators did not want to comment Thursday on the cause of death until they had time to read the full report, said Ogden police Lt. John Stubbs.

McNabb was found with injuries to his face as if he had been in a fight, Stubbs said. Investigators are now looking in Salt Lake City and Ogden for another transient who may have been with McNabb. Stubbs said the man is wanted for questioning.
