KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Kara Lawson scored 17 points and Michelle Snow added 14 Sunday, helping No. 2 Tennessee hold off LSU 79-67.

The Lady Tigers (8-6, 1-2 SEC) trailed 70-67 with 3:43 remaining. But the Lady Vols (14-1, 3-0) held LSU without a basket, scoring the last nine points of the game.

The Lady Vols have won 35 straight Southeastern Conference games at home. LSU has never won in Knoxville and has lost five straight to the Lady Vols, including last year's last-second loss in Baton Rouge.

NO. 4 STANFORD 91, OREGON 76: At Stanford, Calif., Nicole Powell set a school record with 21 rebounds and added 23 points in a game between the Pac-10's top teams.

NO. 5 WISCONSIN 70, NORTHWESTERN 65: At Evanston, Ill., Tamara Moore scored 24 points, including two technical foul shots with 27 seconds left, to lead Wisconsin.

NO. 8 VANDERBILT 62, MISSISSIPPI 42: At Nashville, Tenn., Chantelle Anderson scored 16 points for Vanderbilt.

NO. 9 SOUTH CAROLINA 91, ARKANSAS 66: At Columbia, S.C., Jocelyn Penn tied her career high with 32 points as South Carolina won its 12th straight game.

NO. 16 TEXAS 87, NO. 10 TEXAS TECH 83 (OT): At Austin, Texas, Heather Schreiber scored 28 points and made a key steal and free throws in the final 30 seconds for Texas.

NO. 13 PURDUE 80, OHIO ST. 43: At West LaFayette, Ind., Shereka Wright scored 16 points and Kelly Komara added 15 for Purdue.

MISSISSIPPI ST. 84, NO. 15 GEORGIA 82: At Starkville, Miss., LaToya Thomas scored 43 points to lead Mississippi State.

Thomas, who also had seven rebounds, was 14-for-20 from the field and 14-for-15 from the line for Mississippi State (12-5, 3-1 SEC).

NO. 17 NORTH CAROLINA 89, CLEMSON 85: At Clemson, S.C., Coretta Brown scored 26 points, including six 3-pointers, and Nikki Teasley hit a pair of free throws with 2.2 seconds remaining to cap a 20-point game for North Carolina.

NO. 18 FLORIDA 83, ALABAMA 77: At Gainesville, Fla., Brandi McCain had 21 points and 10 assists and went 5-for-6 on free throws down the stretch to lead Florida.

NO. 19 AUBURN 70, KENTUCKY 66: At Lexington, Ky., Carol Smith scored 16 points and Natasha Brackett had 15, helping Auburn to its first SEC win.

SAINT LOUIS 57, NO. 20 TULANE 56: At St. Louis, Angie Lewis made a free throw with 2:01 remaining, giving Saint Louis its win over Tulane.

PENN STATE 75, NO. 22 MICHIGAN 65: At State College, Pa., Kelly Mazzante scored her 1,000th career point, breaking school and Big Ten records in the process, as Penn State beat Michigan.

NO. 25 OLD DOMINION 71, GEORGE MASON 51: At Fairfax, Va., Lucienne Berthieu had 19 points and eight rebounds for Old Dominion.
