CENTERVILLE - Beth Ashton Cutler, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, sister, and friend, died Friday, January 11, 2002 at her home in Centerville, Utah. She has gone home to be with her Savior and her sweetheart, Ivan.

Beth was born March 25, 1925 in Salt Lake City to Willard and Leona Hart Ashton. In spite of losing her mother at a young age, she grew up happily with her brother and two sisters. She attended Granite High School and the University of Utah. In 1945 she married Ivan Burton Cutler in the Salt Lake Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She and Ivan raised a large family, living in Salt Lake City, Tennessee, Illinois, England, and Cen-terville. Beth's focus in life was always her family and serving others. She was a loving and supportive wife to Ivan. After he died in 1979, she continued to be an exceptional mother and grandmother, showing love and setting an example of obedience and selfless service for her children and grandchildren. While she served in many church callings, she will be remembered most for her thoughtful, unsolicited and often unrecognized, service.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ivan B. Cutler; brother, Willard Ashton; sister, Georgia A. Barton, four children who died as infants, Douglas, Garr, Ivan, Burton; and one grandson, Robert Hogan. She is survived by her sister, Mary A.
