Winners in the Deseret News "Cover a Jazz Game Contest" will be hosted at Wednesday night's game as the Jazz square off against the Seattle Sonics.

The grand prize winner, Dan Clayton from Salt Lake City, and two guests will meet Deseret News Jazz beat writer Tim Buckley in the press room at the Delta Center prior to the game. After dinner, Clayton will have his picture taken with a Jazz player and will be interviewed on KFN radio's Jazz Talk. During the game, he'll sit on press row alongside other sports writers.

The real work begins after post-game interviews as Clayton will go to the Deseret News and write his report of the game.

The second-place winner, Andy Morgan from Providence, won tickets for an upcoming regular-season game in a Delta Center sky box for eight guests.

Ten third-place winners receive Utah Jazz ball caps. They are Greg Schaffer, Suzette Stewart, Kirk Black, Michael Chabries, Dorothy Walton, David Jonathan Smith, Mike Goleman, Carl Malaret, Jeffrey Butler and James Randall.

The contest was open to amateur writers 18 years old and older. Entries were judged on detail, writing style, humor, conciseness and clarity.
