American flight engineer Carl Walz works to install the first of four amateur radio antennas during a six-hour spacewalk Tuesday. Walz and international station commander Yury Onufrienko, a Russian, also relocated a crane during Expedition Four's first spacewalk. During the walk, the two complained of an unexplained, high-pitched beeping noise, which eventually stopped after 30 minutes, and then the cold. The crew — the fourth to live on the space station — will remain on board until May. They moved into the space station in December.
