The West Wing (8 p.m., Ch. 5): Sam's former fiancée — a reporter — comes to the White House.

Bernie Mac (8 p.m., Ch. 13): A trip to the waterpark runs into trouble.

Glory Days (8 p.m., Ch. 30): Writer/producer Kevin Williamson combines a pair of his previous projects — "Dawson's Creek" and "Scream" — in this new series. Eddie Cahill ("Friends") stars as a successful mystery novelist who returns to his small, island hometown to investigate his father's mysterious death and ends up investigating murder after murder. The show has its moments, but the elements don't quite come together, at least not in Wednesday night's premiere.

Combat Missions (8 p.m., USA): Ex-"Survivor" Rudy Boesch hosts this new series (from the producers of "Survivor") in which ex-military guys compete in war games.

The Job (8:30 p.m., Ch. 4): In the second-season premiere, Mike is ordered to help a 12-year-old girl.

48 Hours (9 p.m., Ch. 2): American tourists in trouble.

Law & Order (9 p.m., Ch. 5): A murder investigation leads to an HMO.
