LAYTON-<! > Blanche Lorraine Parrish Bean, age 85, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2002 at her home.

She was born June 1, 1916 in Salt Lake City the daughter of Wade Hampton and Chloe Mabel Felt Parrish. Blanche was reared in Ibapah, Ut. on a ranch.

She attended Ibapah Elementary School, St. Mary's of the Wasatch, Wasatch Academy at Mt. Pleasant, Utah and graduated with a bachelor of science degree in bacteriology from the University of Utah. Blanche married Charles William Bean on April 27, 1941 in Ely, Nevada. He passed away September 22, 1986. She was a member of the Cultural Arts Club, American Legion Auxiliary, Community Church Ladies Circle, a volunteer at Clearfield Convalescent Center, and Golden Spike Gem Mineral Society. Blanche's love was the Parrish ranch in Ibapah, Utah where she was raised. She deeply loved her family especially her grandchildren.

Surviving are her son, Dr. Charles P. (Jolynn) Bean, Fruit Heights; eight grandchildren, Suzanne (Darren) Spencer, Mary Elizabeth Bean, Wade (Kerstin) Bean, Angela Bean, Nathaniel, Katherine, Matthew, David Bean, and two great-grandchildren. Also surviving are one sister, Phyllis Bateman, Ibapah., Utah.

Preceded in death by her husband, Charles William Bean, parents, and one sister, Joyce P. Cook.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Jan. 15, 2002 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist's Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Rd. Friends and family may call Friday from 6-8 p.m. and Sat. from 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery. E-mail condolences to the family at llm@lindquistmortuary.com.
